UK allocates \u00a313 million to repair Ukraine's energy infrastructure<\/h2>\n

The UK has announced the allocation of 13 million pounds<\/strong> to carry out vital repairs in the energy sector of Ukraine<\/strong>, which continues to suffer from Russian strikes.<\/p>\n

This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Yvette Cooper<\/strong> during the G7 ministerial meeting.<\/p>\n

\u00abUkraine's security is our security. That's why we stand together here at the G7 as close partners to continue to support Ukraine and overcome the challenges the world faces today,\u00bb Cooper said.<\/p>\n

Details of assistance<\/h3>\n

The funding will be used to repair of energy facilities<\/strong>, restoration of power lines<\/strong> and purchase of the necessary equipment<\/strong> to stabilise Ukraine's energy system ahead of winter.<\/p>\n

The British government has clarified that the aid is part of a long-term programme to support the Ukrainian energy sector<\/strong>, which already included supply of transformers, generators and equipment for substation repair<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Since the beginning of autumn, Russia intensified attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure<\/strong>, by striking thermal power plants and substations with drones and missiles.
As a result millions of Ukrainians are periodically left without electricity<\/strong>, \u0430 \u00abUkrenergo\u00bb<\/strong> introduces outage schedules across the country.<\/p>\n
