Ukraine is preparing to deploy a \u00abDrone Wall\u00bb to intercept UAVs<\/h2>\n

According to the report Business Insider<\/em>, Ukraine is preparing to deploy a new air defence system - the so-called \u00abThe wall of drones\u00bb<\/strong>, developed by the French company Atreyd<\/strong>. The system is designed to intercept primarily Shahids, the massive strike drones that Russia regularly uses.<\/p>\n

According to the publication, Atreyd works autonomously based on artificial intelligence<\/strong>The platform detects, classifies and coordinates autonomous drones to intercept threats. One operator<\/strong> be able to control up to 100 drones simultaneously<\/strong>, The system is designed to cover large areas and respond quickly to massive attacks. The system is expected to be operational by in the coming weeks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The concept is to create a network of low-cost autonomous interceptor drones that detect and destroy attacking UAVs. Unlike traditional air defence systems, the \u00abwall\u00bb is designed to cover a wide area and a large number of targets simultaneously, reducing the burden on missile systems and electronic warfare.<\/p>\n

Why it's important now<\/h3>\n

Russia's Shakhtys are relatively cheap and numerous drones that complicate the work of traditional air defence systems. Massive attacks by such drones cause serious damage to civilian and energy infrastructure. New approaches (autonomous interceptors, electronic warfare systems, integration with air defences) allow for a multi-level defence that is better able to respond to waves of attacks.<\/p>\n

    Integration<\/strong> with existing air defence and electronic warfare systems is a technically challenging but critical process.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The deployment of such systems is part of a wider strategy to combine Western technology with local platforms, speed up deliveries and build up domestic production and maintenance capabilities.
