In the video, recorded by participants from different parts of the world, they claimed that the authorities have established <strong data-start=\"632\" data-end=\"648\">prices in $1000<\/strong> for registration <strong data-start=\"663\" data-end=\"691\">seafarer's identity card<\/strong> abroad is 20 times more expensive than a similar document in the EU.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Seafarers demand to stop new wave of corruption\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/c-9zt_DfbUw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"816\" data-end=\"819\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"821\" data-end=\"846\">Details of the seafarers' application<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"847\" data-end=\"1078\">In their appeal, the sailors claim that the authorities are preparing changes to the <strong data-start=\"903\" data-end=\"941\">Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 1499<\/strong>, according to which seafarers will no longer be allowed to prove their identity with a domestic or foreign passport to obtain work documents.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1080\" data-end=\"1291\">In their opinion, this will create an artificial dependence on one document - a seafarer's identity card - the cost of which the authorities allegedly want to set at <strong data-start=\"1228\" data-end=\"1237\">$1000<\/strong>, The amount of money is called \u00abunaffordable and unreasonable\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1293\" data-end=\"1416\">Seafarers believe that this approach will force <strong data-start=\"1336\" data-end=\"1362\">tens of thousands of specialists<\/strong> urgently issue a certificate at an inflated price.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1418\" data-end=\"1421\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"1423\" data-end=\"1436\">Context.<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1437\" data-end=\"1640\">The seafarers recorded their appeal simultaneously from different parts of the world: Odesa, ports in Brazil, Singapore, Europe, Jamaica, the US East Coast, Western Canada and even near Antarctica.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1642\" data-end=\"1882\">In October 2025, a documentary story about the fight of Ukrainian sailors against corruption in the field of diplomas in 2020-2023 was presented.
