Germany significantly expands support for Ukraine in the defence sector: the Federal Government has decided Increase military aid by another \u20ac3 billion in the 2026 budget<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Thus, the total amount of funding for Ukraine in the German budget reached a record \u20ac11.5bn<\/strong>, which is the highest figure in the history of cooperation between the two countries.<\/p>\n Minister of Defence of Germany Boris Pistorius<\/strong> stated that:<\/p>\n Defence support for Ukraine in 2026 will be expanded with an additional package of \u20ac3 billion<\/strong>;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n The funds will be used to purchase weapons, ammunition, air defence systems and long-term contracts with the German defence industry;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n The federal budget for 2026 includes \u20ac11.5 billion in total aid to Ukraine<\/strong>, which is an unprecedented level for Germany.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n In addition, Pistorius announced the allocation of another \u20ac150 million<\/strong> as part of the co-financing of the initiative PURL<\/strong>, aimed at joint arms purchases for Ukraine by Western countries.<\/p>\n Germany is one of the three largest donors to Ukraine in the military sphere.
