update for Windows 11 that <strong data-start=\"323\" data-end=\"382\">closes one of the most famous illegal activation schemes<\/strong> - use of KMS activators.<br data-start=\"414\" data-end=\"417\" \/>This was reported by the project developers <strong data-start=\"454\" data-end=\"467\">Massgrave<\/strong>, who created the popular tool <strong data-start=\"506\" data-end=\"515\">KMS38<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"518\" data-end=\"521\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"523\" data-end=\"538\">What happened<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"539\" data-end=\"559\">According to Massgrave:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"561\" data-end=\"811\">\n<li data-start=\"561\" data-end=\"628\">\n<p data-start=\"563\" data-end=\"628\">Microsoft has updated the licensing verification mechanism in Windows 11;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"629\" data-end=\"716\">\n<p data-start=\"631\" data-end=\"716\">change completely <strong data-start=\"646\" data-end=\"676\">block activation keys<\/strong>, that were created using KMS38;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"717\" data-end=\"811\">\n<p data-start=\"719\" data-end=\"811\">the system now sees fake activation as invalid, even if the computer is offline.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"813\" data-end=\"957\">KMS38 was a method of bypassing official Windows activation, allowing users to obtain <strong data-start=\"902\" data-end=\"929\">\u00ablicence\u00bb until 2038<\/strong> - That is, 14 years in advance.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"959\" data-end=\"962\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"964\" data-end=\"987\">How the scheme worked<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"988\" data-end=\"1091\">KMS activators simulated a corporate activation server (Key Management Service), so that Windows:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1093\" data-end=\"1278\">\n<li data-start=\"1093\" data-end=\"1123\">\n<p data-start=\"1095\" data-end=\"1123\">accepted counterfeit keys,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1124\" data-end=\"1175\">\n<p data-start=\"1126\" data-end=\"1175\">considered the device to be part of the corporate network,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1176\" data-end=\"1278\">\n<p data-start=\"1178\" data-end=\"1278\">continued to work with the activated status <strong data-start=\"1224\" data-end=\"1277\">no need for a permanent internet connection<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1280\" data-end=\"1414\">Since it was KMS38 that was widely used, the blocking actually stops all options for \u00ablong-term\u00bb illegal activation.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1416\" data-end=\"1419\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"1421\" data-end=\"1434\">Context.<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1435\" data-end=\"1502\">Microsoft has been stepping up its fight against illegal keys in recent years:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1504\" data-end=\"1731\">\n<li data-start=\"1504\" data-end=\"1565\">\n<p data-start=\"1506\" data-end=\"1565\">Windows 11 receives regular key validation checks;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1566\" data-end=\"1650\">\n<p data-start=\"1568\" data-end=\"1650\">The use of third-party activators is increasingly leading to system errors;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1651\" data-end=\"1731\">\n<p data-start=\"1653\" data-end=\"1731\">in future versions of Windows it is expected <strong data-start=\"1692\" data-end=\"1730\">complete rejection of
