Orban says Ukraine has \u00abno chance to win the war\u00bb and calls support for Kyiv \"madness<\/h2>\n

Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban<\/strong> in a new interview Politico<\/strong><\/em> said that, in his opinion, Ukraine \u00abhas no chance of winning the war\u00bb and that the EU's support for Kyiv is \u00abinsane\u00bb.<\/p>\n

He accused European leaders of continuing to fund Ukraine, even though, according to Orban, this is \u00abeconomically killing\u00bb the EU and does not bring the war any closer to an end.<\/p>\n

This is not the first time that the Hungarian prime minister has criticised aid to Ukraine, but this time he has significantly increased his rhetoric.<\/p>\n

Orban said that European leaders were deliberately dragging out the war, hoping to gain a favourable position in future negotiations with Russia.<\/p>\n

At the same time, he stressed that he did not see a threat of a Russian attack on the EU or NATO countries, as, in his words, \u00abthe European Union is much stronger than the Russians\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Hungary has consistently blocked or delayed a number of EU decisions to support Ukraine, including funding, sanctions and defence assistance. Orb\u00e1n's rhetoric often coincides with the Kremlin's narratives, which regularly draws criticism from EU partners.<\/p>\n
