Student scholarships are to be increased in 2026: UAH 1.5 billion is budgeted<\/h2>\n

Student scholarships in Ukraine may increase from 2026<\/strong>. The draft state budget provides for an increase in spending on scholarship programmes by UAH 1.5 billion<\/strong> - from 5.4 billion<\/strong> to UAH 6.6 billion<\/strong>. This was reported by the deputy head of the Trade Union of Education and Science of Ukraine Olga Chabanyuk<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

According to her, the increase in funding will make it possible to increase both academic and social scholarships for students of Ukrainian universities.<\/p>\n

Chabanyuk stressed that the Union has repeatedly appealed to the government to review the amount of scholarships, as the current payments do not meet the real needs of students amid rising prices and living costs.<\/p>\n
