High-rise building destroyed in Ternopil: one of Russia's largest attacks on western Ukraine<\/h2>\n

On the night of 19 November, Russia carried out one of the most massive combined attacks in the western regions of Ukraine<\/strong>, using both missiles of various types and attack drones.<\/p>\n

In Ternopil A multi-storey building was almost completely destroyed<\/strong>. The building has suffered critical damage - it was not possible to save some of the structures, and rescuers continue to dismantle the rubble and search for people who might have been inside.<\/p>\n

Implications for the regions<\/h2>\n

The combined attack affected at least several regions in western Ukraine. Reports of:<\/p>\n

    Power engineers warn that due to the scale of the damage, repeated outages and local restrictions during peak hours are possible.<\/p>\n

    The western regions of Ukraine have long been a relatively rare target for massive strikes. However, in recent months, Russia has begun to actively use combined attacks<\/strong>, using a combination of cruise missiles, Shahids and ballistic missile systems in an attempt to overwhelm Ukraine's air defences.<\/p>\n
