Zelensky signs law on high-speed internet for all Ukrainians<\/h2>\n

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy<\/strong> signed a bill that will significantly change the standards of Internet access in Ukraine. This was announced by the Vice Prime Minister for Innovation and Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov<\/strong>. The document is aimed at high-speed internet became available to every Ukrainian<\/strong>, regardless of where you live.<\/p>\n

Minimum speed will become a mandatory standard<\/h3>\n

One of the key innovations will be the official mobile tool for measuring internet speed<\/strong>. Each user will be able to make a speed test, and the result will be automatically sent to the regulator.<\/p>\n

- force operators to eliminate deficiencies.<\/p>\n

Fedorov explained that this makes control accessible to everyone without the need for additional equipment or specialists.<\/p>\n

Coverage in villages and small communities<\/h3>\n

The law also lifts the moratorium on routine inspections of operators in rural areas. This means that companies will have to actively improve the infrastructure in areas where there is no or very weak connectivity.<\/p>\n

According to the government, this encourages operators to invest in remote communities where residents have been waiting for years for quality internet.<\/p>\n

National roaming after the war<\/h3>\n

An important provision of the document is preservation of national roaming<\/strong> after the end of the war. Currently, the mechanism allows switching between operators in the event of an attack, network outage or accident. Now this feature will become permanent, which will increase the resilience and continuity of communications across the country.<\/p>\n

What the law means for digital infrastructure<\/h3>\n

Experts note that this law is an important part of Ukraine's digital modernisation strategy. It will not only improve access to the Internet, but also create the basis for the development of online services, education, medicine and business in the most remote corners of the country.<\/p>\n
