This is stated in a new report <strong data-start=\"679\" data-end=\"713\">Institute for the Study of War (ISW)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"718\" data-end=\"952\">According to analysts, from July to the end of November 2025, the occupation forces advanced only <strong data-start=\"816\" data-end=\"838\">by 0.12 km per day<\/strong>. ISW calls this pace \u00abpedestrian\u00bb and completely contradicting the Kremlin's statements about an alleged \u00abimminent breakthrough\u00bb.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"954\" data-end=\"993\">Pokrovske direction: Russia is stalling<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"994\" data-end=\"1170\">The most difficult battles are taking place for <strong data-start=\"1019\" data-end=\"1044\">Pokrovsk and Mirnograd<\/strong>, where the Russian command used elements of the <strong data-start=\"1100\" data-end=\"1125\">of the two combined armies<\/strong>, but even this did not produce any noticeable results.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1172\" data-end=\"1412\">According to ISW:<br data-start=\"1186\" data-end=\"1189\" \/>- The Russian Federation has a foothold only on <strong data-start=\"1214\" data-end=\"1236\">part of Pokrovsk<\/strong>;<br data-start=\"1237\" data-end=\"1240\" \/>- occupiers <strong data-start=\"1251\" data-end=\"1288\">have not made progress in key areas<\/strong>, despite large-scale assaults;<br data-start=\"1313\" data-end=\"1316\" \/>- Attempts to put pressure on two fronts at the same time distribute resources and reduce the effectiveness of the offensive.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1414\" data-end=\"1449\">ISW forecast: August 2027<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1450\" data-end=\"1629\">If the pace of advance remains the same, analysts predict that Russian troops will be able to reach the administrative boundaries of Donetsk region <strong data-start=\"1598\" data-end=\"1628\">not earlier than August 2027<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1631\" data-end=\"1776\">ISW emphasises that even such calculations are theoretical - the Russian offensive may stop altogether due to lack of forces, logistical problems and increasing losses.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1778\" data-end=\"1814\">Kremlin narratives are crumbling<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1815\" data-end=\"1946\">Analysts conclude that the slow pace of the fighting completely refutes the Russian thesis of an \u00abinevitable capture of Donetsk region\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1948\" data-end=\"2172\">The report notes that:<br data-start=\"1973\" data-end=\"1976\" \/>- Russia has not achieved its operational goals;<br data-start=\"2019\" data-end=\"2022\" \/>- The occupiers\u00ab claims of great \u00bbsuccess\" are exaggerated;<br data-start=\"2077\" data-end=\"2080\" \/>- Ukrainian defences in the Pokrovske sector remain resilient despite the intensity of the
