Khmelnytsky, Rivne and South Ukrainian NPPs fully restore power after Russian attacks - IAEA<\/h2>\n

IAEA<\/strong> reported that Khmelnytska<\/strong>, Rivne<\/strong> and South Ukrainian<\/strong> nuclear power plants fully restored their capacity<\/strong>, which was lowered after the latest Russian attacks on the Ukrainian energy system. The updated information was made public in a statement by the agency's director general.<\/p>\n

According to the IAEA:<\/p>\n

    The agency's specialists are on site and confirm the stable operation of the reactors<\/strong>;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    The reduction in power was temporary and was caused by the need to balance the power system after the Russian strikes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The IAEA also emphasised that the situation in the Ukrainian nuclear energy sector remains extremely sensitive<\/strong>, and attacks on energy infrastructure are unacceptable risks<\/strong> for safety.<\/p>\n

    After the recent massive shelling, Ukraine was forced to temporarily limit generation at a number of energy facilities to stabilise the system. Nuclear power plants play a key role in supplying the country with electricity, especially in winter.<\/p>\n
