National Police exposes scheme of misappropriation of UAH 15.5 million in procurement for repair of military equipment<\/h2>\n

The National Police reported the exposure of a criminal group that seized UAH 15.5 million<\/strong>, The funds are intended for the purchase of spare parts and repair of military equipment.<\/p>\n

How the scheme worked<\/h2>\n

The investigation established that 2024<\/strong> the head of a commercial enterprise organised a corruption scheme to ensure the \u00abvictory\u00bb of a controlled company in procurement for a military unit.<\/p>\n

    created the illusion of competition<\/strong>, by involving several controlled legal entities;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    ensured the submission of pre-existing unfavourable price offers<\/strong>, The aim is to make the main company look the best;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    convinced the Armed Forces of Ukraine of the \u00abprofitability\u00bb of this particular proposal.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Thus, the budget suffered losses in the amount of 15.5 million UAH<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    Suspicion and liability<\/h2>\n

    The organiser of the scheme and his accomplice have already a notice of suspicion has been served<\/strong>.
    They are charged:<\/p>\n

      misappropriation of funds on an especially large scale,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      conspiracy of a group of persons,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      use of controlled companies to participate in procurement without real competition.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      The suspects are threatened with up to 12 years' imprisonment<\/strong> \u0437 confiscation of property<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
