We are talking about the amount of about <strong data-start=\"648\" data-end=\"662\">2 billion UAH<\/strong>, which was previously proposed to be included in the expenses of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"758\" data-end=\"889\">According to sources, this decision was a compromise during negotiations between parliamentary factions on the eve of the budget vote.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"891\" data-end=\"922\">Why funding was removed<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"923\" data-end=\"1013\">The media note that the refusal to provide direct budgetary funding for the telethon is due to:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1014\" data-end=\"1196\">\n<li data-start=\"1014\" data-end=\"1055\">\n<p data-start=\"1016\" data-end=\"1055\"><strong data-start=\"1016\" data-end=\"1052\">the need to cut costs<\/strong>,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1056\" data-end=\"1108\">\n<p data-start=\"1058\" data-end=\"1108\">Prioritising the defence and social sectors,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1109\" data-end=\"1196\">\n<p data-start=\"1111\" data-end=\"1196\">criticism from some MPs about the lack of transparency in the distribution of funds between TV groups.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1198\" data-end=\"1378\">Some sources say that the project's funding may be redirected to other formats of state information policy or left at the level of grant and partnership support.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1380\" data-end=\"1393\">Context.<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1394\" data-end=\"1621\">The National Telethon has been running since the first days of the full-scale war. Over the past year and a half, there have been discussions about its effectiveness, rating and the appropriateness of large budget funding in wartime.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1623\" data-end=\"1760\">The issue of financing media projects has repeatedly caused political controversy within the parliament, which also influenced the current decision.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1762\" data-end=\"1774\">What's next<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1775\" data-end=\"2016\">The final text of the budget will be revealed after the vote.
