Russian performers on streaming platforms will be blocked on the territory of Ukraine by the decision of the National Security and Defence Council. This was stated by Alexander Sanchenko<\/strong>, Head of the Subcommittee on the Music Industry of the Verkhovna Rada Committee.<\/p>\n According to him, this is not a general ban on content, but a sanction mechanism that will be implemented through the National Security and Defence Council in cooperation with international platforms.<\/p>\n The process involves several stages:<\/p>\n It is planned to create a list of Russian artists against whom the NSDC will propose to impose sanctions. Preliminary, it is about 120 performers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The Ukrainian side will communicate with streaming platforms to implement geo-blocking of content<\/strong> on the territory of Ukraine.<\/p>\n There is a possibility of creating exceptions for Russian artists who publicly condemned Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Currently, the blocking applies to only performers who are sanctioned by the NSDC<\/strong>.
