Romania to open one of the largest logistics hubs to help Ukraine - DefenseRomania<\/h2>\n

\u0423 Romania<\/span><\/span><\/strong> A large logistics centre for the coordination and transit of military aid to Ukraine will be launched in January 2026. This is reported by the DefenceRomania<\/span><\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Project details<\/h3>\n

The new logistics hub will be the second largest<\/strong> after the Polish centre in Rzeszow<\/span><\/span><\/strong> and will significantly increase the capacity to deliver aid to Ukraine on its eastern flank NATO<\/span><\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The launch of the Romanian centre is expected:<\/p>\n

    will reduce the burden on the Polish logistics infrastructure;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    speed up the transit of weapons and equipment;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    increase the resilience of supply routes in the event of threats or disruptions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    NATO's role<\/h3>\n

    According to the publication, the centre will be located under the direct command of NATO<\/strong> and will be integrated into the system for coordinating Ukraine's operational needs. This is about coordinating supplies:<\/p>\n

      artillery systems and ammunition;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      air defence systems;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      electronic warfare systems;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      other military equipment, taking into account the capabilities of donor countries.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Romania is gradually strengthening its role as a key logistics and security hub for the Alliance in the Black Sea region.
