Ukraine received \u20ac2.3 billion from the EU under the Ukraine Facility - Ministry of Finance<\/h2>\n

Ukraine received EUR 2.3 billion of financial assistance from the European Union<\/strong> following the decision of the EU Council to disburse the sixth tranche under the mechanism Ukraine Facility<\/span><\/span><\/strong>. This was reported by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine<\/span><\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Structure of the tranche<\/h3>\n

The total amount of funding consists of:<\/p>\n

    2.1 billion euros of loan facilities<\/strong>;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    200 million euros in grant aid<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    This is Sixth regular tranche under Pillar I<\/strong>, which provides direct budget support. The funds will be used to Priority social and humanitarian expenditures of the state budget<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    Conditions met<\/h3>\n

    Ukraine has fulfilled the requirements to receive the funding:<\/p>\n

      Eight reform steps<\/strong>, The amount of the sixth tranche is not yet known;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      one extra step<\/strong> within the fourth tranche.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      These commitments cover public finance, governance and institutional reforms.<\/p>\n

      Position of the Ministry of Finance<\/h3>\n

      Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergey Marchenko<\/span><\/span><\/strong> stressed that support from the European Union<\/span><\/span><\/strong> is critically important for the country:<\/p>\n
