The Government of Ukraine has decided to allocate additional UAH 3.1 billion to finance defence needs<\/strong>. This was announced by the Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.<\/strong><\/p>\n

What the funds will be used for<\/h3>\n

According to the Prime Minister, the additional funding will be used to:<\/p>\n

    Development of defence capabilities;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    purchase of weapons;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    modernisation of military equipment;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    repair and restoration of existing weapons.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Source of funding<\/h3>\n

    Svyrydenko noted that the necessary amount was raised through budgetary savings in January-December this year<\/strong>. The reduction in expenditures made it possible to reallocate funds without increasing the budget deficit.<\/p>\n
