The defendant in the high-profile anti-corruption case Midas was granted bail in the amount of 40 million hryvnias<\/strong>. We are talking about Dmitry Basov<\/strong>, Executive Director of the state-owned company \u00abEnergoatom\u00bb<\/strong> on security issues.<\/p>\n

According to the investigation, the funds were made by a newly established company registered in Kyiv<\/strong>, as well as lawyers of the suspect<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The essence of the Midas case\u00ab<\/h3>\n

According to law enforcement, Dmytro Basov was one of the leaders of the criminal organisation<\/strong>, which operated within Energoatom. The participants in the scheme, according to the investigation, systematically received 10-15% kickbacks\u00ab<\/strong> from the contracts of a state-owned company.<\/p>\n

The investigation covers a number of episodes related to the allocation of budget funds and the conclusion of contracts with contractors.<\/p>\n
