President of the United States Donald Trump<\/strong> is preparing a direct proposal to the Greenlandic authorities to \u00abdeepen cooperation\u00bb, which may take the form of a so-called Free Association Agreement, according to The Economist<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

What does the offer include<\/h3>\n

According to the publication, the model of free association provides for an increase in living standards, economic support and close cooperation with the United States in exchange for resolving defence issues. At the same time, Greenland will formally retain self-government.<\/p>\n
