Law enforcers exposed a large-scale corruption scheme in the heat supply sector in Ivano-Frankivsk, which caused losses of UAH 71 million<\/strong>. This was reported by law enforcement agencies.<\/p>\n Among the defendants in the case are the founder and managers of enterprises engaged in the production and transportation of heat for approximately 25% city population<\/strong>.<\/p>\n According to the investigation, the scheme consisted of artificially inflating tariffs<\/strong>, Underestimation of real heat losses<\/strong> and Including excess profits in financial statements<\/strong>. This allowed companies to make unjustified profits at the expense of consumers and the local budget.<\/p>\n Law enforcement officers established that the fraud was systematic and covered key stages of tariff formation and payments for heat supply.<\/p>\n Currently five people were served with notices of suspicion<\/strong>. They are charged with crimes in the field of economic and official activities.
