Details of the US and EU plan for $800bn of investments in Ukraine after the war published<\/h2>\n

The US and the European Union have prepared a joint plan post-war reconstruction of Ukraine<\/strong> with a total volume of up to $800 billion<\/strong>. The details of the initiative were published by Politico<\/strong><\/em> with reference to the relevant document.<\/p>\n

Key parameters of the plan<\/h3>\n

According to Politico, the financial strategy:<\/p>\n

    Relationship to the peace agreement<\/h3>\n

    The recovery plan is part of the 20-point peace agreement<\/strong>, that the US is trying to negotiate between Kyiv and Moscow<\/strong>. The document, according to the publication, provides for availability of security guarantees<\/strong>, without which large-scale investments will not be considered realistic.<\/p>\n

    The role of the European Union<\/h3>\n

    Separately European Commission<\/strong> plans to allocate to Ukraine an additional \u20ac100 billion<\/strong> within the limits:<\/p>\n

      Politico notes that in one of the preliminary versions of the administration's peace plan Donald Trump<\/strong> the fund was supposed to be filled $100bn from frozen Russian assets<\/strong>. However, this clause in the final version of the document was excluded<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
