Global airports step up checks on Nipah virus after first fatality in India<\/h2>\n

Global airports have started to strengthen sanitary control of passengers<\/strong> amid reports of a dangerous virus Nipah<\/strong>, after the first fatal case of the disease was recorded in India<\/strong>. The situation is increasingly being compared to the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n

Enhanced checks at airports<\/h3>\n

In particular, airports in Thailand<\/strong> introduced additional checks of passengers arriving from India<\/strong>. It is about medical screening and control of possible symptoms of the new virus.<\/p>\n

According to local media reports, in India:<\/p>\n

    young woman fell into a coma as a result of the disease and died<\/strong>;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
