Court extends Ihor Kolomoisky's detention for another two months<\/h2>\n

Igor Kolomoisky<\/span><\/span><\/strong> will remain in custody until at least 25 March - this decision was made by the Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv<\/span><\/span>. The court granted the prosecution's motion to extend the term of detention.<\/p>\n

The court did not uphold the defence's motion to change the measure of restraint to a more lenient one.<\/p>\n

Which episodes are considered<\/h3>\n

The businessman is suspected of a number of criminal offences in several proceedings. These include cases related to financial transactions around PrivatBank<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, as well as with the activities of the companies Ukrnafta<\/span><\/span> and Ukrtatnafta<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

In international jurisdictions, certain proceedings related to the bank's former operations have previously been considered in High Court of England and Wales<\/span><\/span> in civil disputes. Some of the cases in the US also involve financial transactions and assets. The investigations are ongoing and final court decisions in the criminal cases are pending.<\/p>\n
