Italy supports Ukraine's accession to the EU, but calls the Balkans a priority<\/h2>\n

Italy supports Ukraine's accession to the European Union, but the Balkan countries remain Rome's priority in terms of EU enlargement. This was stated by Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tayani<\/span><\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

According to the Foreign Minister, Italy is committed to further EU enlargement, but considers it necessary to fulfil its previous commitments to the Western Balkan states, which have been in the process of European integration for a long time.<\/p>\n
