Official Russian statements contradict Trump's words about a \u00abweek-long pause\u00bb in energy strikes<\/h2>\n

Official reports from the Russian side indicate that attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure continued even during the period when US President Donald Trump<\/span><\/span><\/strong> described it as a \u00abone-week pause\u00bb - from 25 January to 1 February.<\/p>\n

According to open statements by the Russian Ministry of Defence and reports from the Ukrainian authorities, new attacks on energy facilities were recorded on these days.<\/p>\n

Chronology of events<\/h3>\n

25 January.<\/strong>
The Russian Ministry of Defence publicly announced that an energy facility in Ukraine had been hit. The hit was confirmed in the Mykolaiv region.<\/p>\n

26 January.<\/strong>
The Russian Federation again reported strikes on energy facilities. In Kharkiv, about 80% area<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

27 January.<\/strong>
The Russian side claimed \u00abdamage to the energy infrastructure\u00bb. Parts of Kharkiv, Odesa, Dnipro and Donetsk regions<\/strong>.
On the same day, there were strikes in Odesa and a train attack in Kharkiv region that resulted in the deaths of people.<\/p>\n

28 January.<\/strong>
The Russian Defence Ministry's daily reports no longer mention strikes on the energy sector.<\/p>\n

29-30 January.<\/strong>
The period of a possible \u00abtruce\u00bb was publicly confirmed.<\/p>\n

The night of 3 February.<\/strong>
Russia has resumed massive attacks on energy infrastructure. In Kyiv, thousands of homes were left without power amid severe frosts.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy<\/span><\/span><\/strong> accused Moscow of breaking the agreements.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Donald Trump said that the Russian leader allegedly kept his promise<\/strong> regarding a temporary pause in the attacks on the energy sector.
