To the former Minister of Energy and Justice Herman Galushchenko<\/strong> was served with a notice of suspicion. The former official himself said that he had previously had the status of a witness in criminal proceedings. Details of the alleged actions and procedural qualifications have not yet been officially disclosed.<\/p>\n

The context of the Energoatom case\u00ab<\/h3>\n

In November, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine announced that it had uncovered a large-scale corruption scheme at the state-owned Energoatom.<\/p>\n

According to the investigation, the organised group could have demanded 10-15% kickbacks\u00ab<\/strong> from contracts, as well as influence the company's personnel and financial decisions.<\/p>\n

Herman Halushchenko also appeared in the investigation materials. Subsequently, he was removed from office<\/strong>, and later dismissed<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It is expected that law enforcement agencies will soon release the official details of the suspicion, and the court will determine the measure of restraint for the former official.<\/p>\n
