European governments openly admit that the continent is entering a period of active preparation for a possible war.
As he writes The Guardian citing CNN analysts, the Kremlin is stepping up its hybrid aggression against EU states - from cyberattacks and sabotage to reconnaissance operations and drone attacks.

Russia's hybrid war against Europe

According to Western sources, Moscow is actively testing the limits of European security, using cyberattacks, sabotage of energy facilities and disinformation campaigns.
Examples include attacks on European airports, infrastructure bombings and attempts to influence political processes.

Experts believe that such actions are a “creeping war” aimed at weakening NATO and creating an atmosphere of fear in society.

From defence to real readiness

European countries are responding on a large scale:

  • Poland is strengthening its air defence system and creating “drone walls” on the eastern border.

  • Germany Increases the military budget and expands its ammunition arsenal.

  • Baltic States jointly rehearse scenarios for repelling surprise attacks.

At the same time in France, Sweden and the Czech Republic prepare mobilisation preparedness and civil protection programmes.

«Europe no longer sees war as something impossible - it is preparing for it systematically,» CNN notes.

A new level of security

Analysts believe that the continent is moving from a “threat response” to a active deterrence.
Instead of separate initiatives, we are creating Joint defence teams, cyber headquarters and surveillance networks.
The goal is to prevent an attack before it happens.

The Kremlin wants to keep Europe in a state of nervous anticipation, but this time the Europeans have decided to be proactive”, - says The Guardian.
