Russian troops attack Zaporizhzhia twice during the night with attack UAVs
During the night, Russian troops carried out two drone attacks in Zaporizhzhia. This was reported in the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
The first wave of the attack
The first attack took place late in the evening 1 January. As a result of the hits, there were three firesA non-residential extension to a multi-storey building caught fire, and two outbuildings. The drone debris damaged residential buildings, road surfaces and parked cars.
The second attack
The second wave of attacks took place around 02:00 on 2 January. As a result of the attack, a fire broke out in shopping centre. The rescuers promptly extinguished the fire, after which the SES sappers inspected the area for dangerous UAV wreckage.
Consequences.
All emergency services were working on the ground. There was no information about any casualties. The final extent of the damage is being determined.
