President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced talks with the leaders of the so-called «Berlin format» countries on the eve of his planned meeting with the US President Donald Trump. According to him, the parties discussed the key documents of the Ukrainian peace plan and agreed on common approaches to a number of fundamental issues.

According to the Head of State, the discussion was focused on 20 points of the peace plan, which, according to the Ukrainian side, are ready for about 90%. These include the territorial integrity of Ukraine, the status of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, and financial support mechanisms.

«Maybe someone likes it, maybe not, but there is a solution. Ukraine will receive $100 billion - this has been confirmed once again by our partners,» Zelenskyy said.

Financial support and the EU's position

The President emphasised that the issue of financing had been separately confirmed by the Head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and President of the European Council António Costa. According to him, this significantly strengthens Ukraine's negotiating position ahead of contacts with the United States.

Expectations from negotiations with the US

Zelenskyy expressed hope for a constructive conversation with the American side, He also stressed his desire to bring together a wider circle of European leaders to further coordinate the developments on a peaceful settlement.

Separately, the President noted that during the talks, the issue of possible expansion of the European participants future consultations to ensure a broader international consensus.

The intensification of diplomatic contacts comes amid attempts to form a common framework for possible peace talks and to increase pressure on Russia by Western partners. Ukraine insists that any agreements are possible only if its territorial integrity and real security guarantees are preserved.
