Zelenskyy: «We are at a critical moment. There is a lot of noise in the media and political pressure»
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that negotiations on the US peace plan are taking place in the context of «critical moment», increased media attention and significant political pressure. He said this in his address.
According to the Head of State, the allies are actively working to coordinate their positions, and Ukraine is doing everything possible to ensure that future decisions do not weaken its defence capabilities. «We will continue to work with our partners, especially the United States, looking for compromises that will strengthen rather than weaken us,» Zelenskyy said.
The President also stressed that Ukraine has to constantly explain to its partners how dangerous it is create an illusion, The Russian aggression has allegedly «exhausted» itself. «We will continue to explain how dangerous it is to pretend that the aggression can be ignored, that everything is “defeated” by itself,» he said.

The statement came amid intense negotiations in Geneva between Ukrainian, American and European delegations. The United States is preparing an updated version of the peace proposals, while European capitals are demanding a number of amendments, including those related to Ukraine's security guarantees and control over sanctions policy.
Washington insists that the document be approved quickly, but some points - especially territorial issues - remain subject to discussion and will be brought to the level of the presidents of Ukraine and the United States.
