Presidential statement on personnel decisions being prepared in the Air Force
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that personnel changes are being prepared in the Ukrainian Air Force. According to him, the decisions concern certain units in some regions responsible for countering Russian Shahed attack drones.
Reason for the changes
The Head of State emphasised that the issue of effective protection of the sky, in particular from kamikaze drones, requires immediate management decisions. That is why we plan to reshuffle staff in certain divisions.
We are talking about strengthening:
air defence organisations;
coordination of departments;
speed of response to air threats.
Context.
Russia regularly uses attack drones to attack Ukrainian cities and infrastructure. In response, Ukraine has been building up its air defence system, receiving international assistance and improving its tactics for intercepting air targets.
