Zelenskyy announces change of heads of five DIAs
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced personnel changes in the leadership of five regional military administrations. According to him, consultations are currently underway on the new heads of the Vinnytsia, Poltava, Ternopil, Dnipro and Chernivtsi regions.
The Head of State said that Final decisions will be made tomorrow, and the newly appointed heads of the regions should start working next week.
What we know
Zelenskyy stressed that the changes are due to the need to strengthen local governance in the context of war, in particular in the following areas:
security and civil protection;
coordination with the Defence Forces;
stable operation of critical infrastructure;
implementation of government decisions in the regions.
The names of potential candidates have not yet been disclosed. The consultations are ongoing with the participation of the government, the Presidential Office and the security forces.
