What Terekhov was awarded for

The report notes that thanks to the work of the mayor, Kharkiv remained resilient during the most difficult period of the war. Among the key reasons for the award:

  • cohesion of Kharkiv residents and effective community coordination;

  • The city authorities have established cooperation with the regional military administration and the government;

  • active involvement of international support for the city's vital functions and preparations for post-war recovery.

Context.

Kharkiv remains one of the most vulnerable large cities in Ukraine, regularly coming under Russian missile and drone attacks. In these conditions, the city authorities have organised the stable operation of critical infrastructure, humanitarian support and the restoration of damaged facilities.
