Zelenskyy meets with Prime Minister of North Macedonia Mitski

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the Prime Minister of North Macedonia By Christian Mickosky.

During the talks, the parties focused on the situation at the frontline, Russian attacks on Ukrainian territory, and opportunities to expand defence cooperation between the two countries. Special attention was paid to diplomatic efforts aimed at strengthening international support for Ukraine.


Gratitude for supporting Ukraine

Zelenskyy thanked North Macedonia for its consistent support of Ukraine and contribution to the PURL programme.

According to him, Ukraine highly appreciates the readiness of Skopje to continue to assist in countering Russian aggression and restoring security in the region.


The context of cooperation

North Macedonia remains among the partner countries that support Ukraine at the international level, in particular within Euro-Atlantic structures.

Such meetings are part of Kyiv's broader diplomatic efforts to strengthen its defence capabilities and preserve the unity of its allies in countering Russian aggression.
