Zelenskyy is considering six candidates for the post of head of the Presidential Office

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is considering six candidates for the post of the new head of the Presidential Office after the resignation of Andriy Yermak.

According to RBC-Ukraine's sources, the main list of candidates includes:

  • Denis Shmygal - is the current Minister of Defence;

  • Mikhail Fedorov - First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation;

  • Kirill Budanov - Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate;

  • Alexey Palisa - Deputy Head of the OP.

Unlikely options

The candidacy of the prime minister Yulia Sviridenko is seen by the authorities as unlikely. Sources say that the president's team has no plans to replace the head of government amid the difficult political situation.

When a decision is expected

The Presidential Office will temporarily remain without a head until at least Wednesday. A decision on who will head the Office is expected after Volodymyr Zelenskyy returns from his trip abroad.
