Zelenskyy to hold evening meeting with Servant of the People faction amid political tensions

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will meet with the parliamentary faction tonight «Servant of the People», said the adviser to the head of state Dmytro Lytvyn.

According to sources RBC-Ukraine, The meeting can start around о 20:00. The format is closed, without the participation of the press.

Context: political turbulence and pressure within the faction

The meeting takes place against the backdrop of a significant deterioration in the political situation:

• The NABU's anti-corruption investigations into Timur Mindich's group have prompted some MPs to demand personnel decisions;

• The Servant of the People party publicly stated that «there should be no untouchables» and that all those involved in the case should be removed immediately;

• There are ongoing discussions within the coalition about government updates, and the creation of the national resilience coalition with the participation of other factions.

According to parliamentary sources, since Zelenskyy's return from Turkey, he has had several strategic meetings on the political configuration of the government, and this one is one of the key ones.

The debate is expected to be tense, given the public statements by some MPs about the need for «profound changes».
