With real US pressure, Russia will be forced to compromise - Zelenskyy
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said. real and consistent pressure from the US can force Russia to compromise and create conditions for ending the war. The Head of State said this while commenting on the course of peace talks.
According to Zelenskyy, if the United States really wants to stop the war and uses appropriate leverage, Moscow will have no room to ignore diplomatic initiatives.
At the same time, the President stressed that Ukraine should be prepared for a negative scenario. In the event of a failure of the peace talks, he emphasised that the country should «pull itself together» and look for other ways to protect the state, its security and sovereignty.
The statement was made against the backdrop of Ukraine's active contacts with the United States and European partners on possible formats for ending the war and further security guarantees.
