President Zelensky dismisses Andriy Yermak from the NSDC and the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed decrees that removed Andriy Yermak from the National Security and Defence Council, and with The rates of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. The documents have already been published on the official website of the OP.
As a result, Yermak ceased to hold two key positions that ensure participation in strategic decisions of the defence bloc and national security issues.
Context.
Last week, Andriy Yermak was dismissed from his post as head of the Presidential Office following large-scale searches by the NABU as part of the Midas case. After that, there were speculations in the public space about further «cleansing» of state bodies from people associated with this case.
The media also reported on Yermak's visit to the Foreign Intelligence Service and the possible preparation of cover documents, which could indicate his intention to travel abroad. There is no official confirmation of this.
What's next
The Presidential Administration has not yet announced who will fill the vacant seats in the NSDC and the Security Council. The President is expected to make changes to these bodies in the near future.
