Ukrainians will not have extra days off for winter holidays

In 2025, Ukrainians will not have additional days off for winter holidays. Public holidays 25 December (Christmas) and 1 January (New Year) fall on Thursday, but due to the martial law no weekend rescheduling or long weekends are provided.

According to the current legislation, during martial law, the rules on postponement of working days and creation of additional days off temporarily not applicable. Therefore, Ukrainians will have only standard one-day holidays without extended rest.
