Ukraine has started restructuring of the Ministry of Defence. The government has agreed to release five deputy ministers of defence, The Minister of Defence said. Mikhail Fedorov.

• Nikolay Shevtsov;

• Vladimir Zaverukha;

• Anna Hvozdyar.

Further work in the ministry

According to Fedorov, Some of the dismissed deputies will continue to work in the Ministry of Defence, but in other areas. The decision does not mean that all officials will leave the defence ministry completely.

The purpose of the changes

The Minister stressed that personnel decisions are part of a wider defence ministry upgrade, aimed at fulfilling the tasks set by the President of Ukraine.

The goal is to build a system capable of stop the enemy in the sky, to hold him back advancement on the ground, as well as to strengthen asymmetric and cyber strikes against the enemy and its economy, Fedorov noted.
