The government is preparing a new financial support programme for individual entrepreneurs. This was reported by MPs. It is about payments of up to UAH 15,000 for individual entrepreneurs to ensure business operations in the event of power outages.

Who can get help

The programme covers only sole proprietors with at least one employee. The amount of the payment depends on the number of employees:

• 1 employee - UAH 7,500

• 6 or more employees - maximum UAH 15,000 for all

Thus, the amount is not charged «for everyone», but is common to the entrepreneur.

What you are allowed to spend money on

The money received will have clear purpose of the target. They may only be used on the:

• acquisition generator,

• fuel for the generator,

• payment for electricity.

The programme does not provide for any other expenses.

The initiative is being prepared against the backdrop of large-scale problems in the power grid and regular blackouts. Small businesses remain one of the most vulnerable categories, especially in the service and trade sectors, where stable power supply is critical.
