Statement by Kaja Kallas
EU Foreign Policy Chief Kaja Kallas noted that the situation with a possible €90bn aid package for Ukraine remains uncertain. She stressed that there are no grounds to speak of a guaranteed decision on this matter.
Uncertainty over funding
Callas stressed that negotiations on the aid package are ongoing. The allocation of €90 billion requires the consent of all EU member states.
The lack of a common position between countries can complicate and delay the decision-making process.
Context.
