Ukrainian teachers will start receiving salaries increased by 30% in the coming weeks

Ukrainian teachers in all regions of the country will start receiving updated payroll accruals, increased by 30%. This was announced by the Minister of Education and Science Oxen Forest.

According to him, the government's decision to increase teachers' salaries is now moving from budgetary calculations to actual payments to people.

What we know about the promotion

The Minister reminded that:

• з 1 January 2026 Teachers' salaries should increase by 30%;

• у the state budget for 2026 additional financial resources are provided;

• Back in early January, these funds were brought to hromadas as part of the educational subvention including the increase.

This is what allows us to start paying the increased salaries in the coming weeks.

Context.

The issue of teacher remuneration remains one of the key issues in the education sector, especially in times of war and staff shortages. The government sees raising teachers' salaries as a step towards stabilising the education system and retaining specialists.

The Ministry of Education and Science expects that the implementation of this decision will have a positive impact on the motivation of teachers and the quality of the educational process.
