Ukraine has signed agreements with Middle Eastern countries on the supply of maritime drones and cooperation in the field of maritime security. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that such agreements had never been made in this region before.
Supply of marine drones and unblocking the Strait of Hormuz
Ukraine has agreed with the Gulf states to supply maritime drones. The parties also agreed on joint actions to unblock the Strait of Hormuz.
The agreement provides not only for the transfer of technology but also for the exchange of experience in the field of maritime security. In particular, it concerns the use of maritime drones and the construction of a tiered defence system.
Transfer of Ukrainian experience
Ukraine shared with its partners its experience in the Black Sea corridor. These decisions helped restore sea trade routes despite the war.
Ukraine's experience will be used to improve the safety and efficiency of maritime transport in the Gulf region.
