Russia has been attacking Kryvyi Rih for almost a day: 70 UAVs and ballistic missiles, miners unblocked

Russian troops continuously attacked Kryvyi Rih for 25 hours with Shahed drones and ballistic missiles. In total, about 70 UAVs were launched at the city, and ballistic weapons were used.

According to local authorities and emergency services, the strikes hit both residential areas and the city's industrial infrastructure. As a result of the shelling, more than 90 miners were trapped underground at one of the enterprises.

Rescue operation

The rescue operation lasted more than 10 hours. Rescue units, emergency services and medics were involved. In the morning, all the trapped miners were brought to the surface.

According to preliminary information, their lives are not in danger. Some of the people received medical care due to fatigue and stress.

Consequences of impacts

The attack caused damage to residential buildings, energy and industrial infrastructure. The damage response is ongoing at the sites of the attacks, and investigators and utility services are working.

Context.

This is not the first time that Kryvyi Rih has been the target of massive attacks by Russian forces. The city is of strategic industrial importance and regularly suffers attacks on energy and production facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities emphasise that such attacks are part of a systemic campaign of terror against the civilian population and the Ukrainian economy.
