Due to bad weather in Odesa region, massive power outages - several districts without electricity
On the night of 31 January, due to severe weather conditions, almost all Odesa region there were breaks and damage to the power grid. This was reported by the company DTEK.
Five districts without electricity supply
As of this morning, consumers in the following districts of the region remain without electricity:
Podilskyi
Berezovsky
Rozdilnyansky
Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi
Odesa
This was caused by strong winds and adverse weather conditions that damaged power lines.
Critical infrastructure is a priority
In the city Odesa electricity supply is currently being provided primarily to critical infrastructure facilities. Household consumers may be temporarily disconnected until the situation in the grid stabilises.
Emergency restoration works are underway
Emergency crews are working to eliminate the consequences of the weather and restore power supply. DTEK notes that the work is complicated by the weather conditions, but the restoration continues around the clock.
Residents are urged to follow safety rules and stay away from downed power lines.
