Russian missile strike on Kharkiv: garage cooperative in Sloboda district damaged
Kharkiv, 9 January 2026. The evening before, Russian troops struck a missile attack on the Sloboda district of Kharkiv. A hit was recorded on the territory of the garage cooperative, resulting in destroyed and damaged garage boxes, cars, as well as broken windows in nearby multi-storey buildings.
No fire broke out at the impact site. Rescuers and utilities promptly cleared the rubble and inspected the area. According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties.
Details of the case
The following units were working at the scene SES, psychologists, canine teams and sappers. The experts checked the area for explosive devices and assessed the level of damage to the infrastructure.
City services continue to carry out restoration work and fix the damage.

Kharkiv remains one of the key targets of Russian attacks on Ukraine's civilian infrastructure. Regular shelling of residential areas creates additional risks to the safety of the population and the stable operation of municipal services in times of war.
