Ukraine moves to an active stage of critical infrastructure protection
Ukraine is accelerating work on Strengthening the protection of critical energy infrastructure, The Prime Minister said. Yulia Sviridenko. According to her, a number of decisions have been made to ensure the stability of the energy supply system in winter.
«There is a solution. We have to act quickly to ensure that people have light, heat and water,» Svyrydenko stressed.
As noted, the government is coordinating actions with energy grid operators, military and local authorities, to minimise the consequences of possible Russian attacks on the energy system.
According to sources, special attention is paid to strengthening of air defence around thermal power plants, substations and water supply facilities, as well as the rapid restoration of damaged infrastructure elements.
