Russia strikes maternity hospital in Zaporizhzhia: at least six injured
Russian troops attacked a maternity hospital in Zaporizhzhia. At least six people were injured in the attack, all of whom are being provided with the necessary medical care. This was reported by the Zaporizhzhya regional military administration.
As a result of the shelling, the building of the maternity hospital was damaged: windows were smashed, parts of the facade and premises were destroyed. The published photos show traces of fire and structural debris.
Those affected
As of now, we know about six victims. The people were promptly provided with medical assistance, and information about their condition is being clarified. There is no information on the death toll so far.
Context.
There have been attacks on medical facilities violation of international humanitarian law. Zaporizhzhia is regularly attacked by Russian troops, including residential areas and civilian infrastructure.
The regional administration emphasises that Russia is deliberately continuing to terrorise civilians by attacking hospitals, schools and residential buildings.
