Zelenskyy says he is ready to go to Davos after preparing a document on Ukraine's recovery

Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he would be ready to attend the World Economic Forum in Davos only after the key document on Ukraine's recovery is finalised. For now, the president remains in the country, coordinating the work of energy services in the face of constant Russian attacks.

According to him, the trip is possible only if the relevant document on the reconstruction of the state is fully prepared.

Details of the application

The President said that Ukraine had received an invitation to the so-called Peace Council. Ukrainian diplomats are currently considering the invitation, but Kyiv's position remains unchanged.

Zelenskyy stressed that Russia is Ukraine's enemy and Belarus is its ally, so Ukraine's participation in formats where Moscow and Minsk are present at the same time is currently extremely problematic.

Separately, the President confirmed that Ukraine had received missiles for Patriot air defence systems and thanked the United States for this.

Security context

Zelenskyy noted that the total number of air defence missiles in Ukraine has not decreased, while Russia has significantly increased the production of missiles and is using them more massively in attacks.

In addition, according to the President, Russia has significantly increased the number of Shahed-type attack drones. In response, Ukraine has strengthened its interception system by increasing the number of mobile fire groups and interceptors, which allows it to gradually find effective solutions to this threat.

At the same time, Zelenskyy stressed that the key tools to counter ballistic missiles are currently in the hands of the United States.
